2017. február 25-én, szombaton rendezték Ajkán a Nagy László Könyvtár és Szabadidő Központ épületében a „Magyarország Sakk Diákolimpia” Veszprém megyei döntőjét.
Iskolánkat az értékszámos egyéni bajnokságban három diákunk képviselte, akik nagyon szép eredményeket értek el, így az országos döntőbe jutottak.
