2017. május 26-27-én rendezték meg a Hatvani István fizikaverseny országos döntőjét Debrecenben. A verseny írásbeli és gyakorlati (mérési) részből épült fel. Iskolánkból Endrész Balázs 9. G és Tafferner Zoltán 10. G osztályos tanulók jutottak a döntőbe a négy levelezős forduló után. Endrész Balázs tizedik, míg Tafferner Zoltán pedig a hetedik helyen végzett.
